Folks,
As many of you may be aware, Bihar has been devastated by torrential rain, causing floods and making the Kosi change course and wipe away several villages.
There are over 6 lakh people living in 200 relief camps. In Saharsa district alone there are 2 Lakh people in 68 relief camps. Similar numbers are living in camps in Madhepura, Supaul, Araria, Purnia and Katihar districts. And many more (those who are better off and have relatives and friends outside) have fled these districts.
If you want to help, GiveIndia has mobilized fundraising for the NGO's operating in the area. As we had mentioned earlier in our article about GiveIndia, this is a reliable organization that vets its partners and holds them accountable.
